Men's Swimming & Diving Update: MAC Conference

We are pleased to share some exciting news with all of you! On Monday, August 11th, the Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced that 3 affiliate members will become apart of Men's Swimming & Diving in the conference for the upcoming 2009-10 season. The University of Evansville, Southern Illinois University, and Missouri State Univerity have all signed a 6-year agreement with the MAC.

Unlike the previous affiliation with the Sunbelt Conference in which the championships were held at a neutral site in Nashville, the MAC Championships will be held on a member institution's campus. This year's championships will be hosted by Eastern Michigan University and will then alternate sites between a current MAC school (Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, and Miami) and an affiliate member (Evansville, Southern Ill., and Missouri St.). This 6-year agreement will not only produce a competitive athletic environment at the Championships, but will also provide stability for the future. Needless to say, we are looking forward to the future of Men's Swimming & Diving in the MAC!
