UB Swimming and Diving Announces 2010-2011 Recruiting Class...!!!

Joining the Buffalo family next year will be 17 athletes from 6 states and Canada. This years class is full of Junior and Senior National qualifiers and a NCSA Junior National Team Member. With the success we had last year and the addition of these 17 athletes the future looks very bright from Buffalo Swimming and Diving!

The University at Buffalo men's and women's swimming and diving team announced its team awards for the 2009-10 season last week. Head coach Andy Bashor made the following presentations: Meili Carpenter and Jared Heine were selected as the Most Valuable; Alie Schirmers and Zach Rice earned the Most Improved Player Award; Caroline Simmons and Matt Schwippert were named Top Rookies and the Leadership Award went to Laura Powalski and Andrew Tamchyna.

The Bulls were one of 19 NCAA Divison I women's swimming teams to be included on the list! UB was the only MAC (Mid-American Conference) School on the list.

Great job ladies... keep excelling both in and out of the pool.
