Meili Carpenter Named All-American After Stand Out Senior Season

Following her performances at the Women's NCAA Championships in March, senior Meili Carpenter became the first swimmer or diver in the school's Division I history to earn All-American status!

Meili was named All-American honorable mention after placing 11th in the 3-meter diving event and 12th in the 1-meter diving event. The top 8 finishers at the Championships are named All-American, while the 9th-16th place finishers earn All-American honorable mention.

This year's NCAA Championships were the 3rd consecutive for Meili, and by far, her most successful. In 2008, she became the first UB female swimmer or diver to qualify for the Championships. This season, Meili won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the MAC Championships and set a MAC record on 3-meter (350.65) on her way to being named Women's MAC Diver of the Year.

Congratulations to Meili!
